Soccer, Golf & Freezing weather!

That's right, FREEZING weather! Let's start with the soccer and golf!

We headed to the local park to get a few touches on the ball. The gang piled in and tightened up our boots. Nice 4v4 for about an hour made every one of us smile! From there we headed to a bar for a quick beer. Just so happened the bar we stop at is a nice golf chip-n-putt. Midas scored us a club and a bucket of balls and we were having a beer knocking balls into a heard of Gazeles! Truely unreal feeling. Aiming at South Africa pin flags and dodging wild animals!

From here we headed home for pies & a shower before we headed back on the train to see the Samba boys;Brazil v Korea. First thing first, the crowd topped every game thus far. True nation supporters!

BUT...

BUT..

It was the coldest day of all of our lives! I mean cold down to the core. We were all shizzerling and snuggling up with the local South Africans. (that is a story in itself) Brazil is truely some amazing soccer to watch. It is like a show case every time they touch the ball. Ended in a 2-1 result which was impressive for the Korea side.

Today is Bafana-Bafana in their second match. The home nation is sure to bring a new word to the eaning spirited!

We love everyone and miss you guys back home; looking forward to share our photos with everyone!

  1. Hey Kelley, Paul, Renee and Jason (and all you others I do not know)...your trip sounds amazing so far! I just read all of the blogs and I have to say I am jealous but I'm following the World Cup with you in spirit and on TV (clearly not working too hard if I'm watching TV while on the clock). Enjoy the rest of your trip and have a safe trip back next week!

  2. Watching the games on telly does not come close to your experiences but we are living through it...watched New Zealand get their first world cup goal ever, that was exciting...and what's up with Portugal??
Saw all the freezing fans at the Brazil game, I was worried about you all...
Just talked to Justin from Millers and he sends his love and he says he is soo jealous!

Love to you all from Mommia and Daddio

  3. Surely you don’t expect any sympathy for a little "cool-down" while you got to watch #105 N.K. play #1 B. to a respectable 2-1 ! As for the golf – didn’t think you played any sport that allowed use of the hands :-)
